What is the difference between the Mobile App and the Web App?
There are a few differences between the mobile and web app.
- Download VS no Download: Guests need to download the mobile app from the IoS or Android stores, whereas you can open the web app in the browser. There is less friction when using a Web App over a Mobile App, so it is up to you to decide if you want to use the Web App, Mobile App, or give the guests the freedom to choose which option they prefer.
- Branding: At HolidayHero, there is more Branding freedom when using the Web App versus the Mobile App. With the Web App you can altogether remove all the HolidayHero Branding, from the Web App URL, to the Web App Screensaver logo. With the Mobile version, the guests will download the HolidayHero App in the App store, and when they log in, they will connect to your Hotel booking and see your branding. The reason for this can be read here.
- Feature Updates: The Web App has certain features earlier than the Mobile App, because of the development process that comes with updating the Mobile App. When updating the mobile app, we depend on Apple and google to approve the newer version. Usually, the delay between feature releases on Web versus mobile, can take between 1 and 3 weeks.
